The Real Heroes

I do not know your name

I do not know your home

I do not know you

But I know your sacrifices

You became what others did not want to be

You went where others fear to go

You did what others failed to do

You asked nothing but gave everything

You gave up your normal life

You left your friends and family

You fought for freedom and for peace

Just to serve our country

You have seen the terror

You have felt the fear

You have cried in pain

Just to keep us safe

You are always ready to fight for us

You carried wounds not showing us

You gave your life when no one wanted to

For someone whom you don't know

I breathe freedom because of you

You paid an awful cost for our freedom

Thank you, for offering yourself for us

You all are, our country's real heroes.

About the poem: This poem is dedicated to our country's soldiers who are giving their precious life for our freedom. They never think of themselves but they first think of the country. They make ultimate sacrifices fighting for the country. They are an inspiration to each one of us.
Dear Soldiers, we do not need a special day to bring you all to our minds. You all are always there in our hearts, minds and in our prayers.
